Mateja Kurir je filozofinja, raziskovalka in urednica iz Slovenije, ki deluje na področju arhitekture, prostorskih praks in umetnosti. Leta 2003 je diplomiraqla in nato leta 2014 doktorirala iz filozofije na Filozofski fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani, kjer od leta 2025 poučuje kot docentka. Je avtorica monografije Arhitektura moderne in das Unheimliche: Heidegger, Freud in Le Corbusier (INR, 2019) ter urednica knjige O oblasti v arhitekturi (IZA in Maska, 2022 ter angleški prevod Routledge, 2025) in sourednica knjige Vrt in prispodoba (MAO, BF, 2022, angleški prevod Birkhäuser, 2024) ter Forest Encounters (IZA, AB, 2025). Za prispevek k arhitekturni teoriji in kritiki je prejela dve Plečnikovi medalji.

Kurir deluje tudi kot samostojna vodja projektov ter je direktorica podjetja Kurir d.o.o.

Mateja Kurir is a philosopher, researcher, and editor based in Slovenia, working in the field of architecture, spatial practices, and the arts. She holds a BA (2003) and PhD (2014) in philosophy from the University of Ljubljana and is an Associate Professor at the same university. She is the author of Arhitektura moderne in das Unheimliche: Heidegger, Freud in Le Corbusier (INR, 2019) and the editor of On Power in Architecture (Routledge, 2025), as well as co‑editor of Garden and Metaphor: Essays on the Essence of the Garden (Birkhäuser, 2024) and Forest Encounters (IZA, AB, 2025). She has received two Plečnik Medals for her contributions to architectural theory, criticism, and publishing.

Kurir also works as a freelancer and is the director of the company Kurir d.o.o.
