Mateja Kurir je filozofinja, raziskovalka in urednica iz Slovenije, ki deluje na področju arhitekture, prostorskih praks in umetnosti.
Leta 2003 je diplomirala in nato leta 2014 doktorirala iz filozofije na Filozofski fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani, kjer od leta 2025 poučuje kot docentka. Je avtorica monografije Arhitektura moderne in das Unheimliche: Heidegger, Freud in Le Corbusier (INR, 2019) ter urednica knjige O oblasti v arhitekturi (IZA in Maska, 2022 ter angleški prevod Routledge, 2025) in sourednica knjige Vrt in prispodoba (MAO, BF, 2022, angleški prevod Birkhäuser, 2024) ter Forest Encounters (IZA, AB, 2025).
Za prispevek k arhitekturni teoriji in kritiki je prejela dve Plečnikovi medalji (2022 in 2024).
Kurir deluje tudi kot samostojna vodja projektov ter je direktorica podjetja Kurir d.o.o.

Mateja Kurir is a Slovenian philosopher, researcher, and editor working in the fields of architecture, spatial practices, and art.
She graduated in Philosophy in 2003 and earned her PhD in Philosophy in 2014 from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, where she has been serving as Assistant Professor since 2025. She is the author of the monograph Modern Architecture and das Unheimliche: Heidegger, Freud and Le Corbusier (INR, 2019), editor of On Power in Architecture (IZA and Maska, 2022; English edition Routledge, 2025), and co-editor of Garden and Metaphor (MAO, BF, 2022; English edition Birkhäuser, 2024) and Forest Encounters (IZA, AB, 2025).
For her contributions to architectural theory and criticism, she has received two Plečnik Medals (2022 and 2024).
Kurir also works as an independent project manager and is the director of Kurir d.o.o.
